Beachaven WineryWe went to the Beachaven Winery in Clarksville, TN today, and I must say it is one of the best I have ever visited. I slept in way too late today, and even missed the guy coming to refill our heating oil. It was so cold last night, which made today even more spectacular. It was about 60ºF out. I forgot to mention this the other day, but my friends and I had an awesome night out in Columbus on Thursday. On a whim, we looked up a Middle Eastern restaurant online and found one called Aladdin's Eatery, which sounded pretty good. Well, it was awesome. My cat likes Macaroni & Cheese. With fancy cheese and Worcestershire sauce in, I might add. I seem to recall my last calico was a bit of a cheese fiend too. Is this a calico thing? I've never met a cheese-eating tabby.

I'm telling you...this winter, try adding some clove to your chicken broth or chicken soup. The other day, my roommate and I roasted a small chicken, and I made soup from the carcass. I added 1/2 cup of wine, 1/2 teaspoon of salt and 1/2 teaspoon of ground cloves, and it tastes just *amazing*. Possibly the best soup ever. All brothy and ( Read more... )
